Nuclear power is the cleanest, safest, most secure and most abundant source of energy available today. It is also the most economic and reliable. There is enough nuclear fuel to meet all of humanities needs for the foreseeable future. In addition when used to produce hydrogen, nuclear energy can in the long term meet all our transport and heating requirements.

The aim of our group is to inform Irish people on the merits of nuclear energy. We in BENE believe that Ireland's future energy supply will include a combination of Nuclear, Renewables and Hydrogen. The recent government white paper on energy promised to provide 33% of electricity from renewables by 2020. We believe that the remaining 67% should contain a large proportion of nuclear.
